Ongoing Advancements

The Funding Corporation's workforce is highly diverse at all levels of our organization. As of December 31, 2021, 50% of employees identified as racially or ethnically diverse, and women comprised more than half of our organization — and our senior leadership.

We're proud of the progress we've made, and we are committed to driving further improvements, in part through recruitment and hiring practices. We partner with recruitment agencies that share our vision for a diverse workforce and help us search for candidates with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. We've also set a standard for ourselves to fill out diverse candidate slates.

Expanding Opportunities

The Funding Corporation proactively created the LEAD (Leveraging Equality and Diversity) DealerTM Group in 2020 to enhance our existing dealer group with a greater variety of perspectives and relationships. Through the LEAD Dealer Group, minority, women, veteran and disabled veteran owned dealers gain direct access to Farm Credit debt securities. The vision for this group is a ripple effect within the financial industry: as these diverse businesses grow, they have more opportunities to hire additional diverse employees.
